The Czech Republic will host the World Junior Ball Hockey Championship! Talented Canadians, Americans and Slovaks will come to Liberec
The Liberec Region and the Statutory City of Liberec will welcome talented junior players at the turn of June and July, who will compete for the world championship titles. The entire JWC will take place in Home Credit Arena and Svijanska Arena, where the hockey White Tigers from Liberec are based.
The Czech Republic wants to organize the best junior world championship in ball hockey again!
Ball hockey sport has the strongest base in the whole world in the Czech Republic, which is why it is known that when the Czechs organize a world-class top event, there is something to look forward to. "The preparation of such a big tournament as the World Junior Championship needs to be solved long-term in advance, if the organizing country wants the event to be successful", says Jiří Cícha, the main organizer of the World Junior Championship in Liberec 2023 from Czech Ball Hockey Federation (CBHF), about the event and adds: "I believe that the Czech Republic can once again organize a tournament that everyone will be satisfied with." The championship organizers have already launched the official website liberec2023.com, where fans of ball hockey and sports in general can find detailed information about the championship.
Junior women under 21 will also compete at the Liberec World Championship!
The tournament in Liberec will be hosted in two arenas, namely the Home Credit Arena and the Svijanska arena, which mainly serve the hockey team from the Tipsport Extraleague of ice hockey - the White Tigers of Liberec. At this place, from June 28 to July 2, 2023, ball hockey players from all over the world will compete for the titles of world champions in the junior categories under 16, 20 and 23 years old. From July 3 to 6, 2023, Liberec will be home to the under 18 and under 21 ball hockey categories.
